Bubblegum Testing
Testing was done using two biochemists, one of them with bubblegum. 50 mushrooms were summoned at a time and pushed into a pile, where they were killed in a variety of scenarios. Mushrooms were killed using the skill cart revolution in all tests.
Based on the known drop rates, when killing 50 mushrooms (presuming 25 are red mushrooms and 25 are black mushrooms), the following drops are expected:
- 55 mushroom spore
- 27 poison spore
- 10 feather
- 3 red blood
- 3 crystal blue
No BubbleGum
Test Parameters: Simple enough, the 50 mushroom spores were killed by the biochemist without bubblegum. This will be our sample group, other tests will measure against this.
- 62 mushroom spores (+12% from expected)
- 34 poison spores (+25% from expected)
- 7 feather (-30% from expected)
- 3 blue (0% from expected)
- 1 red (-60% from expected)
Conclusion: Some numbers were a little higher than expected but we can expect that luck will affect our testing with this sample range a bit.
Gum on Last Hit
Test Parameters: The biochemist without bubblegum would damage each mushroom down to 1 HP, and the biochemist with bubblegum will deal the final hit.
- 52 mushroom (-5% from expected)
- 24 spore (-12% from expected)
- 10 feather (0% from expected)
- 1 red blood (-60% from expected)
- 3 crystal blue (0% from expected)
Conclusion: Clearly even though the bubblegum user did the killing blow against the mushrooms, bubblegum clearly did not affect the item drops.
Gum on all hits
Test Parameters: The biochemist with the bubblegum on will deal all 15 hits to all 50 mushrooms.
- 90 mushroom spore (+63% from expected)
- 45 poison spore (+66% from expected)
- 20 feather (+100% from expected)
- 4 red blood (+33% from expected)
- 6 crystal blue (+100% from expected)
- 1 detrimindextra
Conclusion: Its very obvious here that the effects of bubblegum were active when the bubblegum user dealt all the damage.
Gum on the majority of the damage
Test Parameters: The biochemist without the bubblegum dealt 5 hits to the mushrooms, and the biochemist with bubblegum dealt the remaining 10 hits.
- 90 mushroom spore (+63% from expected)
- 45 poison spore (+66% from expected)
- 22 feather (+120% from expected)
- 4 crystal blue (+33% from expected)
- 4 red blood (+33% from expected)
Conclusion: This test shows that when the person with bubblegum does the majority of the damage to the monster, the effects of bubblegum will activate.
Gum on last hit only, highest damager logged out
Test Parameters: The biochemist without bubblegum deals 14 hits to the mushrooms, and then logs out. The biochemist with bubblegum deals the remaining 1 hit.
- 95 mushroom spore (+72% from expected)
- 45 poison spore (+66% from expected)
- 27 feather (+270% from expected)
- 7 red blood (+233% from expected)
- 3 crystal blue (0% from expected)
Conclusion: With the non bubblegum biochemist logged out, the bubblegum biochemist assumes the role of highest damage dealer.
Test Conclusions
The tests done show that only highest damaging player is considered in determining if bubblegum affects the monsters drops. While further testing may need to be done, it should be assumed that bubblegum activates on the person with the highest drop priority.
