New Character Classes: Soul Linker

Soul Linkers are Taekwon Kids who chose to focus on thier spiritual teachings and forego thier martial arts background. A Soul Linker therefore is a magic user, who controls spirits for the purpose of both support, and combat.

A Soul Linker can no longer perform any kicks or active taekwon attacks or stances, but can continue to use any supportive and movement type skills that they have learned. Soul Linkers may equip any equipment that a mage or wizard can equip. Taekwon Kids may change to Soul Linker at job 40, at the job change npc in morroc.

Soul Linkers have a unique class of skill, known as Spirit skills. These skills are specific supportive skills which can only be used on a specific class. When used on a player, that character absorbs the spirits of the ancient masters of thier profession, temporarially bestowing upon them with great powers, and in some cases entirely new skills. These skills are usable durring the full durration of the spirit. In PVP and WoE however, these spirits may be destroyed through the use of the Taekwon Kid skill Flying Kick.

For the purpose of this guide, the skills granted by the Spirit skills will be listed after the Soul Linker skill guide.

They also have two different specification of skills, Ka- magic and Es- magic. All Ka- type magic are easily identifiable as skill names starting with Ka. A Ka- type skill is a supportive skill, and active Ka- skills may only be cast on yourself, your spouse, or your child. If you however are endowed with Soul Linker Spirit, then you may cast Ka- magic on any player.

All Es- type magic, like Ka- types are identifiable as a skill name starting with Es. Es magic are generally offensive and only affect non human creatures. In other words, you can only use it on monsters. If you attempt to use Es magic on another player, be it anywhere including WoE and PVP, your character will be stunned for a short durration.

Description: Imbues an Alchemist character with the spirits of ancient masters of thier profession. An Imbued alchemist gains the following buffs:

  • Increases the effectiveness of Potion Pitcher skill by a percent, equal to your base level.
  • Gain the usage of the skill Berserk Potion Pitcher.
  • For Alchemists with Prepare Potion Lv 10, gain the usage of Spiritual Potion Creation (A).
  • For Alchemists with Prepare Potion Lv 10 in a party with a super novice, gain the usage of Spiritual Potion Creation (B).
  • For Alchemists with Prepare Potion Lv 10 in a party with a Taekwon Kid, gain the usage of Spiritual Potion Creation (C).

Rogue Spirit

  • You recover a much higher amount of HP when using a potion created by a ranked Alchemist.
  • Increases the movement speed of Stealth, and makes the STR bonus of the skill apply for 5 minutes.

  • There is a small chance that the Super Novice Guardian Angel will appear to clear the novices death record.

Kaizel

Description: Kaizel surrounds yourself with protective spirits, who save you should your character die. For a 30 minute durration, should your character die, you will be automatically ressurected, and Kaizel will cancel. For 2 seconds after you are resurrected, you will have a Kyrie Eleison effect like which will block all damage.

This skill is unusable in War of Emperium maps, and the casting time is not reducable by dex.

Kaizel is a Ka- type spell. Like all Ka- magic, you can only cast this skill on yourself, or your family members. If you attempt to use this on another character, you will be stunned for a short period of time. Only if you are endowed by Soul Linker Spirit can you cast this skill on other players.

Description: Kaahi surrounds yourself with protective spirits, which protect you should you take physical damage. For a 30 minute durration, each time your character takes a non-skill physical attack, you automatically use SP to heal yourself. The amount of SP consumed and HP recovered vary depending on the skill level.

Kaahi is a Ka- type spell. Like all Ka- magic, you can only cast this skill on yourself, or your family members. If you attempt to use this on another character, you will be stunned for a short period of time. Only if you are endowed by Soul Linker Spirit can you cast this skill on other players.

Kaupe

Description: Kaupe surrounds yourself with protective spirits, which perfectly blocks a single physical attack. For a 10 minute durration, when your character takes a physical attack, you have a chance to completely block that damage. Kaupe ends when it blocks one attack.

Kaupe is a Ka- type spell. Like all Ka- magic, you can only cast this skill on yourself, or your family members. If you attempt to use this on another character, you will be stunned for a short period of time. Only if you are endowed by Soul Linker Spirit can you cast this skill on other players.

Description: Kaite surrounds yourself with protective spirits, which reflect targeted magic back to thier casters. When your character takes a magical attack, that spell will be thrown back to its caster. Kaite does not stack with Assumptio and cannot block skills from bosses or monsters higher level than you. The skill ends after blocking a certain number of spells.

Kaite is a Ka- type spell. Like all Ka- magic, you can only cast this skill on yourself, or your family members. If you attempt to use this on another character, you will be stunned for a short period of time. Only if you are endowed by Soul Linker Spirit can you cast this skill on other players.

Kaina
  Skill Type: Ka- Magic (Passive)

Prerequisites: Happy Break Lv 1

Description: Kaina surrounds yourself with protective spirits, which supply you with energy to cast and use skills. Kaina actually differs from other Ka- magic as that it is a passive skill, so there is no need to cast this to recieve the benefits. Kaina provides several Sp related changes, including more Sp gained from Happy Break, increases your max Sp, and decreases the Sp cost of the Es- skills Estin, Estun, and Esma.

The amount of the Sp reduction of Estin Estun and Esma is actually based on your base level. At Lv 70-79 the cost is reduced by 3% per skill level (max 21%). At Lv 80-89 the cost is reduced by 5% per level (max 35%). At Lv 90-99 the cost is reduced by 7% per level (max 49%).

Eswoo
  Skill Type: Es- Magic

Description: Eswoo uses offensive spirits to change the targets size, making them very small and greatly reducing thier movement speed. This skill lasts far shorter on boss-type monsters. If you attempt to use this skill on a monster already affected by Eswoo, it will cause you to stun and it will revert the target monster to normal.

Though the monsters size visibly changes, the monster is not considered any different for the calculation of skills and cards.

Eswoo is an Es- type skill. Like all Es- type magic, this skill can only be cast on a non human opponent (only monsters). Attempting to use this on another player will cause your character to be stunned.

Estun

Estun is an Es- type skill. Like all Es- type magic, this skill can only be cast on a non human opponent (only monsters). Attempting to use this on another player will cause your character to be stunned.

Eske

Description: Eske uses offensive spirits to make a target monster unstable, greatly increasing thier attack power but reducing thier physical defence. A monster hit with Eske will have thier attack power quadrupled, and thier defence reduced by half.

After casting any skill level of Eske, Eske can be used as a spirit channel in which Esma can be cast afterwards.

Eske is an Es- type skill. Like all Es- type magic, this skill can only be cast on a non human opponent (only monsters). Attempting to use this on another player will cause your character to be stunned.

Description: Eska uses offensive spirits to solidify a target opponent, massively increasing thier physical and magical defence but making them very slow moving and attacking. The physical and magical defence increase is very similar to the Monk skill Mental Strength, but it does not prevent them from using skills.

Eska is an Es- type skill. Like all Es- type magic, this skill can only be cast on a non human opponent (only monsters). Attempting to use this on another player will cause your character to be stunned.

Esma

Description: Esma uses existing spirits near a target to do massive magical damage to a single opponent. Esma does not summon its own spirits however, so Esma must be cast directly after another Es type skill, specifically Estin, Estun, or Eske, or directly after using a 'spirit' class skill. Esma takes the element of the current Mild Wind you have activated.

Esma is an Es- type skill. Like all Es- type magic, this skill can only be cast on a non human opponent (only monsters). Attempting to use this on another player will cause your character to be stunned.
