When Japan implemented episode 12.1, they did not implement the battlegrounds like other Ragnarok servers did. \u00c2\u00a0When they discussed it in an interview, they stated the reason for this was they felt the battleground system had too many bugs and was not user friendly enough to be implemented on their server. \u00c2\u00a0Word is that it may be implemented in 2011 once Gravity completes an overhaul of the current battleground system, but for now Japan does not have any of the battleground content.<\/p>\n

However, players were still anxious to get their hands on the equipment that was exclusive to battlegrounds. \u00c2\u00a0Their solution to this problem was the ‘Link System’.<\/p>\n

The Link System is effectively a way players can get the Krieger von Midguard “Glorious” set equipment without the battleground content. \u00c2\u00a0When participating in various content across the game, players can receive a variety of different “Coins”. \u00c2\u00a0These coins can be traded and sold between players freely. \u00c2\u00a0With enough of these coins, players can purchase the Glorious weapons and armor, which then becomes character bound.<\/p>\n
