On the Ninja Wiki, it said that Cicada could only block regular physical attacks, but on the Ninja Guide it said it could block any physical attack that is enhanced by % increasing cards. From what I have played, the Ninja Guides description appears to be true, because Cicada will block almost any physical skill, even Asura Strike, but it won't block things like Falcon Assault, Acid Bomb, or the magic half of Soul Destroyer.
Is this how Cicada should be behaving or what? I'm finding it very confusing what it should be able to block and not block.
Well, you have a valid point, the guide is more accurate right now, the wiki should be updated to reflect the info I gathered.
The problem is that the things it blocks are kind of confusing. From what I've heard, any skills that gain a bonus from % increasing cards. There's a few ones that don't make much sence though.

Yeah, some skills I don't get why they are blocked like High Speed Cart Ram are still blocked by Cicada, but only +ATK cards effect it. Although I think I saw another description that said Cicada could also block attacks that could be avoidable via normal means (don't always hit). Even with Cicada though, a Ninja can get busted by HSCR from being cornered + stunned pretty easily.
Anyways, I am playing on a private server that recently upgraded to the latest eAthena SVN. They are doing an Open Beta sort of thing to iron out bugs and such, and Cicada has created alot of frustration. I can only imagine when they are implemented on iRO what players reactions will be to them.
I wouldn't trust eAthena SVN really. As a server emulator they code it as they hear it. Without a definate list of skills that are blockable, they simply made it include physical skills. To be honest I help thier dev team from time to time in more of an exchange of information. Right now Skotlex refuses to update Ciceda until they get more info. I guess thats his choice.
If only Ninja's could of been more simple, like Gunslingers. :(
