For the Japanese 2008 user Symposium, Gungho (the managers of jRO) asked gravity if they could provide the current working designs for the new 3rd classes. To their surprise, they agreed and they were able to display the new sprites. Note that these sprites are not final, and are currently still in design.

Thanks guys for the response I got for my april fools day joke. The page got almost 8000 hits in the first 4 hours until my counter broke. I decided to take down the april fools redirection that I put up because people will need to access the page for the 11.3 patch on sakray today.
The joke page will stay up though so you can view it if you like.

IRO has announced that episode 11.3 will be added on Sakray next maintenance on the 1st. As such, I have decided to release my guide in its current state. The guide, like the ones in the past are designed to familiarize players with the new game content. There are a few sections missing at the moment, particularly the ones pertaining to WoE:SE and the mercenary system, but they will be added shortly.

Any comments, suggestions, or complaints are welcome.
Edit: Hopefully I resolved the redirecting issue.

Earlier last week Heimdallr let out some information pertaining castle treasure drops that would be added this week. These changes are similar to the jRO changes I posted about earlier, but with some interesting changes. Some chests have new items, and instead of replacing elu/ori/db with treasure chest, they actually changed the 3 carat diamond in the common box with treasure chest. Overall I think they are some pretty nice changes.
View the treasure box changes on the iRO wiki forums here.
In addition, the 11.3 game update has been uploaded to the iRO Sakray FTP server. This means that the localization process is nearing completing and we can expect an announcement shortly.
In a rather interesting surprise move, the patch files contain everything that would be needed to bring iRO’s data files up to current kRO, including maps, textures, sprites. Thats not to say that we will get this content with this update, only that the iRO client will now be capable of viewing it when they implement it on iRO. The text translations only go up to episode 11.3 however. I hope they realize that it may not be wise to completely update the client such as this without making changes, or people may be surprised to see the 12.1 loading screens and a giant hole in morroc when testing starts.

A little tool I wrote up while trying to calculate what it would take to survive earthquake while MVP’ing. It should be completed and is now added to the arsenal of tools available on RODE.
Leave any comments or suggestions you have!

jRO has released the actual drops of the new castles in a recent ragnarok guidebook. I’ve compiled the data and uploaded it for viewing. Any drops that were previously reported and not on this list were mis-reported.
Note that treasure box is an etc type drop item (see here for info). The rates for most of the changed drops is not known. One can presume that the drops that do not change on the list keep the same rate, but you can’t say for certain.

I apologize for the site being down for the last day, the problem stems with an issue with my host. Apparently they messed up doing regular maintenance on my site and set an invalid apache config file. Once they fixed that, a second issue occurred where they messed up what hosts could access my SQL database (probably resulting from pushing clean configuration to fix the first problem). It was my mistake that I did not realize that I could modify the hosts from the dreamhost control panel, which is what I eventually did to get the site running again. Its their fault that it took them half a day to fix problem one, and never got back to me on the second problem until I stumbled upon the solution.
Hopefully thats the end of the site issues, I’m sorry for any confusion it caused.
